What is the most comforting food?

My comfort food is my dad’s lentil soup and my mother’s tabouli, food which brings me back home. To me, it’s not only in the eating of it but also in the act of cooking itself, which can ground us to the present moment if we allow it. Comfort food, to me, is food that brings back happy memories, usually from childhood. Perhaps it is a favorite meal your parents cooked for you on your birthday or grandma’s chicken noodle soup, or a nostalgic meal from your past. My favorites include Truffle Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Lasagna, and Vegan Pot Pie!
